Lara kicks back and relaxes during a fall boat ride up into Tellico Lake. Friday was a perfect day to play hooky and get out to enjoy the Tennessee autumn.

Took this photo at Tom’s prompting while we were up in Tellico Lake yesterday checking out the fall colors. Love the way the boat’s wake drifts back and echoes the mountains in Cherokee National Forest. More photos ….
I was driving too fast on the road to Mesa Verde, spraying dirt and gravel as I switchbacked my way through the hills toward my destination.
