i can actually smell wet newf when i look at this!
Believe me, the entire truck smells like wet Newf. I have to leave it open for a few hours after I get home to de-Newf it.
I bet my wet golden retriever smells a lot like a wet newf, and that the cab of my truck smells an awful lot like the cab of yours.
I used to hate the smell…I’ve now accepted it as proof I’m alive, and have taken Rilke’s advice:
“When the wine tastes bitter, become the wine,” or something like that.
When the truck cab smells funky, become the funk.
Funny, I’ve mostly grown immune to it, too. I really notice it when I come home after being on the road for three or four days. The house really smells … well … doggy. Don’t notice it day-in-day-out. Just when I’ve been gone a while.
