mona_lisa_crowd.jpg
As we made our way past the great works at some of the greatest museums of Europe, I became obsessed with the mob scenes that were happening in front of the art. This shot is in front of the Mona Lisa at the Louvre. I was a little confused by all the people taking pictures of these artworks. What could they hope to capture on film that would compete with the real thing? Wouldn't it be better to stand their in silence and just take in the work instead of trying to get the perfect picture amid a milling crowd? Whatever.
