As someone sitting here in Ohio, this web site is incredible. The images featured on this site give me a better idea of what is goign on with the hurricane. I was especially interested by the before and after photos. I think it is so hard to fully understand the damage of a hurricane unless you understand how a place was prior to it being affected. The capabilities of the internet to produce photos and videos like these are so new. There is more availibility to report on events like a hurricane in a new and innovative way that is limited to a newspaper.

I like this guy's personality. His blog isn't just "here's what's happening" but more of "here's what's happening to me." I like reading personal accounts more than blanket story approaches when it comes to big events that affect tons of people.
It's very important that he does have such a good personality and that it comes across in his writing, otherwise he'd be just another reporter. I thought this was clever:
"And I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Coke machine blown over by a storm. It usually takes three frat guys rocking it back and forth to knock over a vending machine. Wilma appears to be as strong as a million frat boys, maybe even a million inebriated frat boys after an all-night kegger and angry that their football team got beat."
