Taxation without representation

I’d heard numerous horror stories about the D.C. DMV, so I was dreading my inevitable trip there to get my driver’s license and plates. A warning ticket on my truck a few weeks ago told me I had two weeks to get my plates are start paying fines. I decided to brave the DMV.

I went early last Saturday morning — 7 a.m. — and got the inspection out of the way. Then I got the driver’s license and plates. I was out of there by 10 and had a harder time navigating home through Cherry Blossom Crowds than I did dealing with the DMV

Everyone I talked to was professional and courteous. The lines moved pretty quickly and there was a clear, easy to follow process to get everything lined up. Maybe my experience was the exception, but I emerged a happy customer. And I love my Taxation without Representation plates.
